Everglades Home for Family with ASD Child

DESIGN 9

FALL 2024

OBJECTIVE: Design a sensory-friendly home for a family with a child on the autism spectrum that supports comfort, adaptability, and everyday living. Located at Pine Glades Lake, the home uses clear circulation, sensory zoning, and calming transition spaces to reduce sensory overload while encouraging social interaction and playful learning. The design emphasizes a strong connection to the surrounding Everglades landscape, creating a supportive and nurturing living environment.
